Our planet's temperature is rising and while I was at Bearded we wanted to do something to bring awareness to this alarming situation. In response, we started a side project called climatechangelist.com where users can explore different ways to personally reduce their carbon footprint, and then challenge friends to do the same. Once the user selected an item they were willing to do, an icon representation would appear in the header, and the color bar becomes blue to reference the planet cooling.
For this project, I worked on the concept, user workflow, and visual direction.

Human and natural activities, including burning fossil fuels, release enormous amounts of heat-trapping gasses into the atmosphere. These emissions have caused the Earth's surface temperature to rise, with oceans absorbing about 80% of the additional heat. Even small increases in temperature can have devastating effects.
